Free Composting Basics Workshop

  • Epsom Community Centre 202 Gillies Avenue Auckland, Auckland, 1023 New Zealand (map)

At Epsom Community Centre, this composting workshop will be facilitated by Wei. It offers an introduction to composting with the three most common and easy composting systems that can be used at home and in your garden: traditional cold composting bins, worm farms, and Bokashi buckets. Come and discover how easy it is, and what suits you best!

To help you on your way, all confirmed workshop participants get a 50% discount voucher to order a compost system through the Compost Collective website (click the ‘Register’ link below) which will be delivered straight to your door. Plus, you’ll also receive a free rat trap to help keep pests under control!

The bonus of this workshop is to visit the community garden on-site at the end, to see how composting actually works and to admire how the garden produce is nourished by the compost soil.

Please bring a plate to share. Tea and coffee will be provided. Please note the food participants will bring may contain meat, gluten, nuts, seeds and other potential allergens. Any questions, please get in touch with Wei (wei@ecomatters.org.nz).

This workshop is proudly supported by Auckland Council, Epsom Community Centre, The Village Square Trust and delivered by Compost Collective.

Spaces are limited. Booking is essential.
